Why You Need Shocks

Why do you need shocks? The answer is as simple as it is complex. Regardless of the application, shocks give you comfort and control. Check out the video below to learn more.

How does a shock give you comfort and control? It converts the motion of the wheel to heat inside the shock, and then dissipates that heat into the atmosphere. Energy doesn’t disappear; it gets converted and is then dissipated.

This is the process that a shock uses with every compression and rebound to reduce and control the jarring forces you experience when you’re driving your truck or riding your mountain bike. And, this is why you experience comfort and are able to maintain control over your vehicle in a variety of scenarios that wouldn’t be possible without shocks.
